The following material has been compiled by the Real Estate Division and the Real Estate Council of British Columbia to provide you with current information about the real estate industry, licensing programs and about course procedures.

English Language Proficiency Requirement
All Real Estate Trading Services, Rental Property Management, and Strata Management Licensing students must satisfy an English Language Proficiency Requirement (ELPR).

The ELPR may only be satisfied by achieving a level 7 or higher on each of the four components (reading, writing, speaking and listening) of the Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program - General (CELPIP-G) test on the same test score report (scores from multiple test attempts cannot be combined) or by being exempted from the requirement in one of the following ways:

  1. Graduation from a recognized university Bachelorís degree or higher program at an accredited university, college or technical institute at which English is the primary language of instruction.

  2. Licensed for real estate services in another Canadian jurisdiction with English language standards and have satisfied that jurisdictionís English language requirements.

The ELPR must be satisfied before you can register for an exam and if licensing is your intention we strongly recommend that you consider satisfying the ELPR prior to course registration.

** MUST have successfully completed the Real Estate Trading Services, Rental Property Management or the Strata Management Licensing Exam and have been actively licensed for 6 months.

Calculator Option (Calculator only required for Trading Services)
 Include a Hewlett Packard 10BII+ Calculator in my course package for an additional $59.36 ($53.00 plus $6.36 tax). No refunds are available after purchase.
