On August 1, 2021, important amendments to the Real Estate Services Act ("RESA") and the Real Estate Services Rules (the "Rules") were brought into force, to integrate the regulation of real estate services in the province into the British Columbia Financial Services Authority (BCFSA). Depending on your personal circumstances, if you are looking into registering for one of our British Columbia Licensing courses, you may wish to consider delaying your registration until after January 1st, 2022. Students who register after this date will receive updated printed materials which will reflect these changes. Students who register before this date will not receive the updated printed materials, although they will have access to the revised materials in electronic form through their course resources website.

English Language Proficiency Requirement
All Real Estate Trading Services, Rental Property Management, and Strata Management Licensing students must satisfy an English Language Proficiency Requirement (ELPR).
As a requirement of the Rules made under the Real Estate Services Act, the ELPR may be satisfied by achieving a level 7 or higher on each of the four components (reading, writing, speaking and listening) of the Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program - General (CELPIP-G) test on the same test score report (scores from multiple test attempts cannot be combined). The ELPR must be satisfied before you can register for an exam and if licensing is your intention we strongly recommend that you consider satisfying the ELPR prior to course registration. Note that CELPIP-G test fees apply.
